Electrical Project Engineer ( Power & Genset Division)

Job Title: Project Engineer (Electrical)

Department: Projects
Reporting To: Project Manager / Senior Project Engineer
Location: Head Office & Project Sites

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (PEC Registered)
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in electrical project execution

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Execution & Site Supervision

• Supervise installation of MV/LV electrical systems
• Manage transformers, RMUs, VCB panels, MDBs
• Oversee diesel generator installation and synchronization
• Ensure proper cable laying, termination, and routing
• Monitor site progress, manpower, and productivity
• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors

2. Engineering & Technical Support

• Prepare and review Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)
• Perform load calculations and cable sizing
• Conduct voltage drop and short circuit analysis
• Support earthing, lightning protection, and lighting design
• Review shop drawings and technical submittals

3. Testing & Commissioning

• Conduct IR and High Voltage (Hipot) testing (up to 28kV)
• Perform transformer and cable testing
• Assist in relay protection testing for VCB panels
• Support DG synchronization using Deep Sea, ComAp, InteliGen
• Participate in FAT & SAT activities

4. Project Planning & Coordination

• Assist in project scheduling and tracking
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and QA/QC teams
• Liaise with clients and consultants
• Identify risks and support mitigation plans

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports
• Maintain IRs, checklists, and approval logs
• Track BOQ, materials, and site records
• Support as-built drawings and handover documents

6. Quality & HSE Compliance

• Ensure compliance with IEC/IEEE standards
• Conduct inspections and quality checks
• Implement HSE policies and safety procedures
• Participate in audits and toolbox talks

7. Commercial & Cost Support

• Assist in BOQ preparation and cost estimation
• Monitor material usage and reduce wastage
• Support billing, IPCs, and variation claims

8. ERP & Resource Coordination

• Coordinate with stores and logistics
• Maintain inventory and project data
• Support ERP reporting and tracking

Pay: Rs120,000.00 - Rs150,000.00 per hour
