Electrical Purchase Engineer

The Senior Electrical Purchase Engineer will be responsible for procurement of electrical components and systems required for EOT Crane manufacturing. The role involves vendor development, cost negotiation, inventory control, and ensuring timely procurement aligned with production schedules while maintaining quality standards.

Required Education : Diploma/BE in Electrical Engineering with min 3 to 5 Years Experience as Electrical Purchase Engineer Profile in any Capital Goods Industry.

Key Responsibilities1️ Electrical Procurement (Domestic & International)

• Procure electrical components such as:
• VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives)
• Crane Duty Motors (Slip Ring / Squirrel Cage)
• PLC & Automation Systems
• Control Panels & Switchgear
• Limit Switches & Rotary Geared Limit Switches
• DSL (Down Shop Lead) Systems
• Cable Festoon Systems
• Industrial Cables, Glands & Junction Boxes
• Brakes, Rectifiers, Contactors, Relays
• Prepare and evaluate techno-commercial comparisons.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and payment terms.
• Develop alternate vendors to optimize cost and lead time.

2️ Import–Export Management

• Handle international sourcing of specialized crane electrical components.
• Coordinate with overseas suppliers for quotations, specifications, and shipments.
• Manage import documentation:
• Proforma Invoice
• Commercial Invoice
• Packing List
• Bill of Lading / Airway Bill
• Certificate of Origin
• Insurance documents
• Coordinate with CHA (Custom House Agent) for customs clearance.
• Ensure compliance with DGFT regulations and import policies.
• Monitor foreign exchange implications and payment terms (LC, TT, etc.).

3️ Technical Coordination

• Study electrical drawings, BOQ, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with design and production departments for material planning.
• Ensure materials comply with IS / IEC standards and project requirements.

4️ Vendor Development & Cost Control

• Identify and develop reliable domestic and international vendors.
• Maintain Approved Vendor List (AVL).
• Conduct supplier performance evaluation.
• Work on cost-saving initiatives and value engineering.

5️ Inventory & Planning

• Monitor stock levels and ensure timely procurement aligned with production schedules.
• Avoid material shortages and overstock situations.
• Coordinate with stores, accounts, and PPC departments.

6️ Documentation & ERP

• Prepare Purchase Orders in ERP system.
• Track order status and follow up for timely delivery.
• Ensure proper documentation for audit and ISO compliance.
• Coordinate with accounts for payment processing.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E. / B. Tech in Electrical Engineering
• 3–5 years of experience in Electrical Purchase
• Minimum 3–5 years experience in Import–Export handling
• Experience in EOT Crane / Heavy Engineering / Material Handling Industry preferred

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
