Electrical Senior Engineer – Infrastructure Design

Job Purpose:

Responsible for the design, review, and oversight of electrical systems within residential and mixed-use development projects. Ensures compliance with local codes, company standards, and project specifications, while collaborating closely with the infrastructure design team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, backup power, and low-voltage systems (telecom, fire alarm, security).
• Prepare and review detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for electrical works.
• Conduct load calculations, short-circuit analysis, and protection coordination studies.
• Ensure designs comply with local electrical codes, standards, and sustainability requirements.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, MEP, and landscape engineers to integrate electrical systems seamlessly.
• Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, and material submittals.
• Support site inspections and resolve technical issues during construction phases.
• Mentor junior electrical engineers and provide technical guidance to project teams.
• Assist in preparing project reports, as-built drawings, and technical documentation.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in electrical engineering design for infrastructure or real estate projects.
• Proven experience in power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage system design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, ETAP, or similar electrical design software.
• Strong knowledge of local electrical codes, standards, and permitting processes.
• Excellent problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
