Job Purpose:
Responsible for the design, review, and oversight of electrical systems within residential and mixed-use development projects. Ensures compliance with local codes, company standards, and project specifications, while collaborating closely with the infrastructure design team.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, backup power, and low-voltage systems (telecom, fire alarm, security).

Prepare and review detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for electrical works.

Conduct load calculations, short-circuit analysis, and protection coordination studies.

Ensure designs comply with local electrical codes, standards, and sustainability requirements.

Coordinate with civil, mechanical, MEP, and landscape engineers to integrate electrical systems seamlessly.

Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, and material submittals.

Support site inspections and resolve technical issues during construction phases.

Mentor junior electrical engineers and provide technical guidance to project teams.

Assist in preparing project reports, as-built drawings, and technical documentation.
Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

Experience in electrical engineering design for infrastructure or real estate projects.

Proven experience in power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage system design.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, ETAP, or similar electrical design software.

Strong knowledge of local electrical codes, standards, and permitting processes.
