Job Description: Site Supervisor & Site Engineer (Electrical)

We're looking for a skilled Site Supervisor & Site Engineer to oversee and manage the execution of electrical distribution, transmission lines, and substation bay works. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in these areas and be responsible for ensuring project completion on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Management:

• Supervise day-to-day on-site activities for the installation of transmission lines, distribution networks, and substation bays.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, and contractors to ensure smooth project flow.
• Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports on milestones, challenges, and resource allocation.
• Ensure all work is performed according to engineering drawings, specifications, and safety protocols.

Technical & Quality Assurance:

• Interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and construction drawings.
• Inspect and verify the quality of materials and workmanship on site.
• Conduct and oversee testing and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot technical issues that arise during construction and installation.

Safety & Compliance:

• Enforce strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings to promote a safety-first culture.
• Identify and mitigate potential on-site hazards.
• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure all necessary permits are in place.

Resource & Team Management:

• Supervise a team of technicians, electricians, and laborers.
• Allocate tasks and manage the work schedule of the on-site crew.
• Provide technical guidance and training to the team.
• Manage site logistics, including material delivery and equipment availability.

Qualifications

• Education: Diploma / ITI / Bachelor Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: Proven work experience in the execution of electrical projects, specifically involving transmission lines, distribution networks, and substation construction.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, and high-voltage equipment. Proficiency in interpreting electrical diagrams and technical specifications.
• Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Must be able to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Other: Knowledge of relevant industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE) and safety regulations.
