Job Purpose

The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for leading, coordinating, and overseeing all electrical works to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations across assigned facilities and projects.

The role provides technical expertise and supervisory leadership to a team of electricians and technicians, ensuring that preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and installations are carried out to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

By driving operational excellence, enforcing regulatory requirements, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives, the Electrical Supervisor plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, enhancing system reliability, and delivering superior service to internal and external stakeholders.
Roles, Responsibilities, Duties

Leadership & Supervision

Direct, supervise, and motivate a team of electricians and technicians to deliver high-quality electrical services.

Assign tasks, monitor work performance, and provide coaching, mentoring, and technical guidance to develop team capabilities.

Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the electrical team.

Operations & Maintenance

Oversee the installation, operation, testing, and repair of electrical systems, panels, and equipment to ensure optimal functionality.

Implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the equipment's life cycle.

Monitor the proper use of tools, materials, and resources to ensure efficiency, cost control, and minimal waste.

Health, Safety & Compliance

Enforce compliance with electrical codes, industry standards, and organizational HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies.

Conduct regular inspections, risk assessments, and safety briefings to identify hazards and implement corrective measures.

Ensure accurate documentation of permits, inspections, and safety compliance records.

Planning & Coordination

Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate project execution.

Plan manpower, tools, and resources effectively to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.

Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to secure timely availability of equipment, spare parts, and materials.
Education & Qualification:

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or related field.

Valid supervisory certification or trade license as required by local regulations.

Solid knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
Professional certifications (e.g., NEC/IEC, NFPA, OSHA) are preferred.
Industry Experience (No. of years):

7–10 years of industry experience in electrical works within facilities management, construction, or related sectors.
Position/functional experience (No. of years):

3–5 years in a supervisory role managing teams and overseeing electrical operations.
Competencies and Skills:
In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and industry codes, with a strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance
