Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our dynamic team. The Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role supports both production and facility operations by ensuring electrical systems operate safely, reliably, and efficiently. The Electrical Technician works closely with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to minimize downtime and improve system performance.
Key Responsibilities
· Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, controls, and equipment across the plant.
· Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on motors, drives, control panels, and wiring.
· Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues to reduce downtime and maintain production efficiency.
· Support equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades.
· Read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
· Ensure compliance with all electrical codes, company safety standards, and OSHA regulations.
· Maintain accurate records of electrical work performed in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
· Assist in training operators and maintenance personnel on proper equipment usage and safety practices.
· Collaborate with engineers and project teams on new equipment commissioning.
· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and recommend process or equipment upgrades.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree, technical certification, or apprenticeship in electrical technology preferred.
· 3+ years of electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
· Strong knowledge of electrical systems including PLCs, VFDs, motors, and control systems.
· Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
· Proficient with troubleshooting tools and electrical testing equipment.
· Familiarity with NEC (National Electrical Code), OSHA, and industry safety practices.
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
· Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and respond to emergency calls as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.37 - $30.00 per hour
