Electrical Technician

Job Summary

Responsible for the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical power systems for telecom infrastructure, including AC/DC supply, panels, batteries, DC chargers, UPS, and grounding/earthing. Ensures all work is executed safely and according to the Engineering designs and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, and wire electrical panels, DC chargers, batteries, and UPS systems.
• Lay, terminate, and label power cables according to design and site requirements.
• Conduct practical testing and verification of electrical systems using multimeters, clamp meters, DC load testers, insulation testers, and other tools.
• Install and verify grounding and earthing systems for panels and equipment.
• Operate electrical and construction tools, including power drills, saws, and other power equipment, to support installation of panels, cable trays, and other electrical infrastructure.
• Perform troubleshooting, fault-finding, and maintenance of electrical systems during installation and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with site safety and electrical isolation procedures.
• Collaborate closely with the Electrical Engineer to implement power system designs and modifications on site.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in Electrical Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Strong practical knowledge of AC/DC power systems, batteries, UPS, DC chargers, and panels.
• Hands-on experience in electrical installation, wiring, panel assembly, and testing.
• Familiarity with grounding, earthing, and electrical safety standards.
• UAE driving license is mandatory.

Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in electrical installation, commissioning, and testing for telecom, utility, or industrial projects.
• Proven experience assembling panels, wiring systems, testing power infrastructure, and performing practical troubleshooting on site.
