Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Electrical Technician I to carry out preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment across industrial or power generation facilities. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with HV, MV, and LV systems, strong troubleshooting skills, and a solid understanding of electrical safety standards and maintenance best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment (motors, transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers)
- Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in HV, MV, and LV electrical systems
- Conduct testing and calibration to ensure equipment accuracy and performance
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards
- Support shutdowns, turnarounds, equipment overhauls, and system upgrades
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and test results
- Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and operations teams
- Continuously update skills and knowledge on new technologies and best practices
- Use CMMS (e.g., SAP PM) for maintenance tracking and reporting
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Diploma or Technical Certification in Electrical Engineering or related field
Experience
- 5–8+ years of electrical maintenance experience in industrial or power generation environments
- Hands-on experience with HV, MV, and LV electrical systems
Certifications (Preferred)
- Electrical Safety Certification (e.g., NFPA 70E)
- Additional electrical/testing certifications are an advantage
Skills & Competencies
- Advanced understanding of electrical systems (transformers, generators, switchgear)
- Strong troubleshooting and repair skills
- Proficient with diagnostic tools (multimeters, insulation testers, thermal imaging)
- Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Knowledge of electrical safety regulations and industry standards
- Familiarity with CMMS (SAP PM preferred)
- Good communication and teamwork skills
