Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Analyzer Technician to calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot gas, emissions, and liquid analyzers critical to plant safety and environmental compliance. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with process analyzers and sampling systems, follows strict safety standards, and works well with cross-functional teams in industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine calibration, preventive and corrective maintenance on gas, emissions, and liquid analyzers (e.g., O₂, CO, H₂S, NOx, pH, conductivity)
- Ensure accuracy and reliability of online and portable analyzers for safe plant operation and environmental compliance
- Troubleshoot analyzer systems including sensors, transmitters, sampling systems, and controllers
- Work safely with toxic gases, high-pressure systems, and confined spaces in line with HSE procedures
- Support commissioning, shutdowns, and startups by validating analyzer readings and system readiness
- Maintain detailed documentation of calibration, inspection, and repair logs
- Coordinate with Operations, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams for integrated support
- Recommend and implement improvements to analyzer performance and reliability
- Use CMMS (e.g., SAP, Maximo) for work order documentation
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- Diploma / ITI / Associate Degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, or related discipline
Experience:
- 5–8+ years in analyzer maintenance, preferably in gasification, petrochemical, or power plant environments
- Hands-on experience with process gas analyzers, CEMS, TOC, GC, IR, and electrochemical sensors
Skills & Competencies
- Proficient with analyzer systems (ABB, Siemens, Yokogawa, Rosemount, Servomex)
- Strong calibration techniques using standards and calibration gases
- Good understanding of sampling systems, flow paths, and analyzer shelters
- Ability to read P&IDs, loop diagrams, and wiring schematics
- Knowledge of environmental compliance and emissions monitoring
- Strong safety awareness (hazardous areas, gas detection, LOTO)
- Basic PLC/DCS interface knowledge
- CMMS experience (SAP / Maximo preferred)
