Electrical Technician

Accord People are recruiting for an Electrical Technician on a full-time permanent basis for an Aberdeen-based client. With salary and overtime paid when required. Progression into offshore trips when required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Building electronic control equipment from drawings and working with electrical and mechanical technicians during build and maintenance projects.
• Diagnosing, fault finding, and maintaining electrical control equipment. Also maintaining and repairing cables and subsea umbilicals.
• Testing electronic control equipment and participating in tool testing in the yard.
• Working with other technicians and engineers on ad-hoc projects as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Time-served apprenticeship or relevant qualification to HND level or above.
• Practical understanding of digital and analogue electronic circuits, with the ability to read wiring diagrams and engineering drawings.
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritise effectively, with a willingness to work flexibly within the team to complete urgent tasks.
• Experience in software programming and coding is advantageous.

Pay: £32,000.00 per year
