Electrician

The Electrician is responsible to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in compliance with safety standards and project specifications. The Electrician ensures reliable and safe electrical service across facilities, supporting engineering operations, maintenance, and development works within residential, commercial, and private estate environments.

JOB LOCATION: FUJAIRAH, UAE

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma or ITI Certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
• Valid UAE-recognized Electrician Certification (e.g., DEWA/ADDC approved – preferred)
• Electrical safety training and basic HSE awareness certification
• Knowledge of UAE electrical regulations and international standards (e.g., NEC, IEC)

EXPERIENCE:

• 3–5 years of proven experience as an electrician in building services, estates, or facility maintenance
• Experience in installation and repair of low-voltage and medium-voltage systems
• Hands-on experience with lighting, power distribution, DBs, and wiring systems
• Familiarity with private estates, hospitality properties, or luxury residences is an advantage

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Technical Expertise

• Skilled in installing and maintaining electrical panels, switches, sockets, lighting, and cabling
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings, circuit diagrams, and load schedules
• Experience with both residential and commercial systems including emergency power
• Ability to work with testing instruments (megger, multimeter, etc.) to detect faults

Safety & Compliance

• Knowledge of electrical safety codes, risk assessments, and safe work practices
• Ensures compliance with UAE electrical regulations and project-specific requirements
• Identifies and rectifies potential hazards or non-compliant installations
• Consistently follows lockout/tagout and isolation procedures

Problem Solving & Maintenance

• Efficient in diagnosing issues and performing corrective maintenance
• Executes preventive maintenance tasks and reports irregularities proactively
• Maintains accurate records of repairs, inspections, and part replacements
• Ability to work independently on urgent repairs under pressure

Collaboration & Professionalism

• Coordinates with engineers, supervisors, and other trades during installations
• Maintains a professional attitude and respects confidentiality of high-profile properties
• Communicates effectively with team members and supervisors on task progress
• Demonstrates accountability, punctuality, and attention to detail

Tool Handling & Equipment Knowledge

• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment
• Knowledgeable in handling circuit breakers, relays, isolators, and cable terminations
• Understands the use of backup systems like generators and UPS
