Electrician Cum Plumber – Requirements

The Electrician Cum Plumber will be responsible for performing electrical and plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair works in residential, commercial, and industrial properties. The technician must have good technical knowledge, practical experience, and the ability to work safely according to UAE regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
• Perform electrical wiring, cable pulling, cable termination, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Install and maintain Distribution Boards (DB), DB dressing, MCC panels, control panels, lighting systems, switches, and power sockets.
• Carry out control panel wiring, termination, and troubleshooting of electrical control circuits.
• Perform fault diagnosis and repair of electrical systems including breakers, relays, contactors, timers, and protection devices.
• Install and maintain lighting fixtures, power outlets, cable trays, conduits, and trunking systems.
• Carry out plumbing installation works including water supply lines, drainage lines, sanitary fittings, and piping systems.
• Install and repair water pumps, water heaters, valves, pipe fittings, mixers, toilets, wash basins, and sanitary fixtures.
• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of plumbing systems including leak detection and pipe repairs.
• Read and interpret electrical and plumbing drawings, layouts, and schematics.
• Conduct preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance according to company procedures.
• Ensure all electrical and plumbing works comply with UAE safety standards and local authority regulations (DEWA / Dubai Municipality / Civil Defence where applicable).
• Use appropriate testing equipment and tools to identify electrical and plumbing faults.
• Ensure safe work practices and maintain tools and equipment in proper condition.
• Coordinate with supervisors and site engineers to complete work according to project timelines.
• Carry out emergency repairs when required.

Functional / Technical Competencies

• Minimum 2–5 years of UAE experience as an Electrician Cum Plumber in maintenance or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of DB installation, DB dressing, cable termination, and control panel wiring.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical control panels, motors, pumps, and lighting circuits.
• Good knowledge of power distribution systems, lighting systems, and electrical protection devices.
• Strong knowledge of water supply systems, drainage systems, pipe installation, and sanitary fixtures.
• Ability to perform electrical testing and fault finding using multimeters and other testing tools.
• Ability to perform pipe cutting, threading, joining, and installation of plumbing fixtures.
• Familiarity with UAE building regulations, safety standards, and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work plans.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
• Physically fit to work at heights and in confined spaces when required.

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,500.00 per month
