Duties

• Installing, testing, and maintaining electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with safety standards and regulations.
• Diagnosing electrical faults using specialised tools and implementing effective solutions promptly.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate installation and repairs.
• Conducting routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they develop into major problems.
• Ensuring all work complies with current electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Collaborating with other tradespeople and project managers to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Maintaining detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections carried out.

Skills

• Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, and multimeters.
• Experience operating power tools including drills, saws, and cable cutters safely and effectively.
• Strong electrical experience with a thorough understanding of wiring methods, circuit design, and safety protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to read technical drawings accurately.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
