The American International School - Riyadh (AIS-R) is seeking a qualified and highly experienced Learning/Teaching Assistant who is currently residing in Riyadh under the sponsorship of her/his spouse. Candidates must meet the minimum criteria below to be considered for employment at AIS-R.
Qualifications And Minimum Criteria

University Degree/ or a minimum 2-Year Associate's Degree.

Fluent English language capacity (speaking, reading, and writing).

Highly organized and task oriented.

Past experience with providing academic instruction and support for students in a school setting.

Proficient computer skills.

Current resident of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

KSA Dependent Status: Holder of valid Saudi Iqama (Residence permit) under husband/wife sponsorship.

Sponsorship or sponsorship transfer is not available.

Able to start work January 9, 2026.

Can commit to AIS-R work hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm (5:00pm on Tuesdays) [non-negotiable].
Reports To:
ES Principal, Associate Principal, and Supervisory Teacher(s)
Performance Responsibilities

Supports students academically and behaviorally during whole group lessons, in small groups or one-on-one conferences on a daily basis as part of the established educational program.

Collaboratively plans units of study and lessons with the grade level team.

Collects data on students’ progress and communicates with teacher(s).

Supervises elementary school students during breaks and recess.

Supports faculty/staff kidcare program by supervising elementary students after school.

Attends all K-12 faculty meetings, Elementary School divisional meetings, and team meetings.

Assists homeroom teacher(s) with administrative tasks, such as creating and maintaining learning resources and bulletin boards.

Performs other duties as assigned by the principal(s) or supervisory teacher.
Terms Of Employment
Salary will be assigned from the Classified Salary Schedule (Educational Assistant); the contract term will be 190 days.
Learning And Growth
Performance will be evaluated in accordance with school policy by the designated supervisor.
