Elementary School Teacher - 1st Grade

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Elementary School Teacher to inspire and nurture first-grade students in a dynamic classroom environment. This role is dedicated to fostering a love of learning, supporting early childhood development, and creating an engaging educational experience. The ideal candidate will utilize innovative teaching methods, incorporate learning technology, and implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure every child’s academic and social success. Duties

  • Deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in literacy, math, science, and social studies.
  • Incorporate diverse teaching strategies including , early intervention techniques, and differentiated instruction to meet individual student needs.
  • Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques, fostering a respectful and inclusive environment.
  • Assess student progress regularly using standardized testing and formative assessments; adapt instruction accordingly.
  • Support students with learning differences, ensuring appropriate accommodations.
  • Integrate learning technology tools to enhance instruction and facilitate interactive learning experiences.
  • Mentor and support new teachers or teaching assistants, sharing best practices in classroom management and lesson planning.
  • Engage with parents through regular communication about student progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
  • Support extracurricular activities such as physical education classes, library services, or tutoring sessions to enrich student development.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and behavioral reports in compliance with education administration standards.

Experience

  • Prior classroom experience working with early childhood or elementary students is essential.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and literacy education.
  • Experience working with children with special needs or in private school settings is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
  • Familiarity with learning technology platforms and tools used for instruction and assessment.
  • Proven ability to manage classrooms effectively while fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, parents, and administrators.
