Elementary Tutor

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Elementary Tutor to support student learning and academic development. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and experience working with children, providing personalized instruction to help students achieve their educational goals. This role involves developing engaging lesson plans, utilizing learning technology, and fostering a positive learning environment for elementary students across various subjects.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized tutoring sessions tailored to each student's needs in core subjects such as math, reading, and science
• Develop and implement effective lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and student learning objectives
• Utilize learning technology and educational tools to enhance instruction and engagement
• Manage classroom behavior and create a supportive, inclusive environment conducive to learning
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school staff to support student success
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and areas for improvement
• Support students with special education needs or additional learning challenges as required

Requirements

• Prior experience in tutoring, teaching, or classroom management within elementary education or early childhood education
• Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques
• Experience working with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities, including special education and preschool experience
• Familiarity with learning technology and educational software tools
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
• Ability to develop engaging instructional materials tailored to individual student needs
• Patience, adaptability, and a passion for fostering a positive learning environment for young learners

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
