ELV Presales Engineer

Job Summary

The ELV Presales Engineer is responsible for providing technical support to the sales team by designing, proposing, and estimating Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems. The role involves understanding client requirements, preparing techno-commercial proposals, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities Presales & Technical Support

  • Analyze tender documents, drawings, BOQs, and specifications for ELV systems.
  • Design and prepare solutions for:
  • Structured Cabling (Copper & Fiber)
  • CCTV & Video Surveillance
  • Access Control Systems
  • Public Address (PA) & Voice Alarm
  • Data Networks & Wi-Fi
  • SMATV/IPTV (if applicable)
  • Intercom & Gate Barrier Systems
  • Prepare technical submittals, compliance statements, and system architecture.

Estimation & Proposal

  • Prepare detailed BOQs, cost estimates, and pricing.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for quotations and technical data.
  • Ensure proposals are aligned with client specifications and budget constraints.
  • Prepare and submit techno-commercial proposals.

Client & Sales Support

  • Attend pre-bid meetings, site surveys, and client discussions.
  • Provide technical clarifications and presentations to clients.
  • Support the sales team in closing deals by offering optimized solutions.

Documentation & Coordination

  • Prepare system drawings, schematics, and layouts (AutoCAD).
  • Ensure compliance with local authority regulations (DHA, ADCD, SIRA, etc.).
  • Coordinate with internal teams (projects, procurement, design).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Telecommunications Engineering
  • 2–5 years of experience in ELV presales or design (UAE experience preferred)

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of ELV systems:
  • Structured cabling (CAT6, CAT6A, Fiber Optics)
  • CCTV (IP/Analog)
  • Access Control & Security Systems
  • Familiarity with brands like:
  • Hikvision, Dahua, Honeywell, Bosch, Axis
  • Proficiency in:
  • AutoCAD
  • MS Excel (costing & BOQ)
  • Proposal documentation

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple tenders
  • Commercial awareness and negotiation support

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per hour
