ELV Technician

JOB SUMMARY:
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in CCTV installation, repair, replacement, and maintenance, as well as other related security systems. Working under the general supervision of the Project Engineer, the candidate will be responsible for performing skilled technical tasks, including minor carpentry, drilling, and other related site works as required.

Job Responsibilities

• Install and configure security system components, units, and printed circuit boards under the supervision of the Project Engineer (e.g., cameras, motion detectors, electronic locks, etc.).
• Install structured cabling for various ELV systems, including CCTV, Access Control, and Intrusion Detection.
• Install and service Intrusion, CCTV, and Access Control Systems in commercial and high-end residential environments.
• Travel to various customer sites to perform installation, testing, and maintenance work.
• Work independently or as part of a team, demonstrating strong initiative and problem-solving skills.
• Maintain organization and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients, both verbally and in writing.
• Use electronic test equipment (e.g., digital multimeter) to measure voltage and troubleshoot systems.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively (e.g., drills, screwdrivers, cutters).
• Read and interpret technical drawings, datasheets, and written work instructions.
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of electronics and security systems such as IP Surveillance, Intrusion Detection, Access Control, and power supply systems (additional training or certification in these areas is an advantage).
• Fabricate custom parts and cables as needed to ensure successful system installation.
• Collaborate closely with the Project Engineer throughout the project lifecycle.
• Follow common safety practices and company procedures at all times.

Education

• Minimum: High School Diploma
• Preferred: IT Diploma or equivalent technical certification

Work Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a security systems or ELV services company
• UAE Driving License is an advantage

Pay: AED2,200.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
