Therapeutic Concepts, LLC is seeking an experienced, licensed EMDR clinician to join our growing trauma-focused private practice. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Clinician to join our practice. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide expert mental health services to individuals experiencing trauma, PTSD, and complex emotional challenges. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in psychotherapy, trauma treatment modalities, and working with diverse populations, including adolescents, and adults. As a key member of our team, you will deliver evidence-based interventions, including EMDR therapy, to promote healing and resilience. This position emphasizes a client-centered approach, utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral management strategies. You will also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
- Deliver specialized EMDR therapy sessions alongside other evidence-based modalities like cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and art or writing therapy as appropriate.
- Develop individualized treatment plans focused on trauma resolution, PTSD care, grief counseling, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
- Maintain detailed medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards, ensuring accuracy in medical terminology and ICD F-coding.
- Collaborate with families, schools (including special education), healthcare providers, the court system, parole and probation, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive care strategies.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related mental health field from an accredited institution.
- Licensed or credentialed for clinical counseling practice in the state of Oregon; additional certifications in EMDR therapy are highly preferred.
- Proven experience providing psychotherapy for trauma-related disorders such as PTSD using EMDR and other evidence-based practices like cognitive behavioral therapy, DBT, ACT, or IFS.
- Demonstrated expertise working with adolescents, adults, and individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges.
- Strong skills in crisis intervention, crisis management, behavior management, and working within inpatient or outpatient settings. This practice does not routinely see crisis, but there must be knowledge of how to assess and handle a crisis situation.
- Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and medical documentation practices.
- Experience delivering telehealth services is desirable; comfort with digital platforms for remote therapy sessions is essential.
- Knowledge of addiction counseling, grief counseling techniques, psychodynamic approaches, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and special education considerations is a plus.
