Job Description:
Work in the Renewable, Solar, and Battery Storage Market. Our growing company is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized Employee Benefits Coordinator to support the Company’s employee benefits administration process. This role will support the Company Human Resources Manager with day-to-day benefits management tasks and the broader administrative team by helping ensure employees receive accurate, timely, and professional assistance with benefits-related processes. The role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, follow-through, and the ability to work independently within established procedures.

Reports to:
Human Resources Manager
Preferred Background:
· Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field preferred, but not required with equivalent experience.
· Minimum of two (2) years of experience in administrative, human resources, payroll, benefits, or employee service-related role preferred.
· Working knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security requirements as they relate to employee benefits administration.
· Prior experience working with Protected Health Information (PHI), Personally Identifiable Information (PII), HRIS systems, and benefits invoice reconciliation preferred.
· Experience handling PHI and PII in compliance with confidentiality, privacy, and data protection requirements.
· Proven efficiency through prior experience in a remote position.

Job Responsibilities:
· Support new hire benefit enrollments, qualifying life event changes, and maintenance of employee benefit records within applicable systems.
· Assist with annual open enrollment activities, including employee communications, enrollment tracking, follow-up, and administrative support.
· Reconcile monthly benefit invoices against payroll reports, enrollment records, and employee benefit elections, identifying and documenting discrepancies for resolution.
· Assist with tracking benefit deduction changes, missed deductions, corrections, and retroactive adjustments as directed.
· Serve as a professional point of contact for employee benefit inquiries, providing assistance with enrollment processes, system navigation, and general benefits-related questions.
· Troubleshoot and escalate complex benefit, carrier, eligibility, payroll deduction, or claims-related issues to the Human Resources Manager.
· Coordinate routine communication and follow-up with benefit brokers, insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and system vendors as directed.
· Maintain and organize benefits-related documents, forms, employee notices, internal tracking tools, and resource materials.
· Assist with preparation of benefits-related reports, audits, compliance activities, and administrative tracking requirements.
· Support COBRA-related administrative activities.
· Protect and maintain confidential employee information while ensuring accurate recordkeeping and compliance with company procedures.
· Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds when required
· Ability to sit or stand for extended periods with occasional bending or reaching
· Ability to traverse construction jobsites on uneven terrain when necessary
· Ability to work in varying weather conditions when visiting jobsites
· Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) when required by jobsite or task
· Ability to operate a motor vehicle for work-related tasks

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
