Position Overview

As an Employee Benefits Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in growing our agency by identifying and prospecting new business clients. You will set appointments with business owners and HR decision-makers to learn about their current benefits programs, workforce demographics, and goals. Using that information, you’ll work with our agency team to craft tailored benefits solutions that meet their needs.

This is a commission-only, 1099 independent contractor position with unlimited earning potential through new business commissions and performance bonuses. Comprehensive training and ongoing mentorship are provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and prospect potential new business clients within assigned territories
• Set appointments with decision-makers to assess their current benefits offerings and team structure
• Conduct fact-finding interviews to uncover attraction and retention opportunities
• Collaborate with the agency team to develop customized benefit strategies
• Manage leads, appointments, and follow-ups in a structured sales process
• Represent New South Benefits professionally in person, by phone, and online

Compensation

• 100% commission-based + bonuses
• Typical first-year earnings range varies by effort and results — top performers earn $60,000+ annually, with no income ceiling.

Pay: $43,531.28 - $64,467.78 per year
