Employee Relations Specialist

Position Overview
Corporate Hospitality Services (CHS) is looking for a skilled and committed Employee Relations Specialist to become a part of our Human Resources team. This position plays a vital role in fostering and sustaining a positive, legally compliant, and efficient work environment by handling employee relations matters, upholding employment laws, and reinforcing HR policies throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues in a fair, professional, and legally compliant manner
  • Conduct objective investigations into workplace concerns, including complaints and policy violations
  • Provide clear guidance on HR policies and applicable employment laws
  • Advise managers and supervisors on employee relations best practices and conflict resolution
  • Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Analyze employee data and trends to improve morale, retention, and performance
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, minimizing legal risk
  • Conduct exit interviews, analyze feedback, and support strategies to reduce turnover
  • Maintain OSHA and internal reports related to workplace injuries, illnesses, and incidents
  • Provide support and guidance regarding employee benefits and wellness programs

Required Skills

  • Strong interpersonal abilities and emotional intelligence
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR communication tools
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines under pressure
  • High level of professionalism and discretion

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in an Employee Relations or HR Specialist role
  • Solid understanding of labor laws and employment equity standards
  • Experience with payroll systems, HRIS, and general HR practices
  • Proven conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities
  • HR certification or formal HR education (preferred)
  • Bilingual – required

After 90 Days:

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
