We are recruiting for an Employee Relations Specialist to join a growing global organization to advise multi-state labor laws and immigration compliance. The qualified candidate will have strong labor law knowledge for multiple states. This is a 100% remote role for a 6 month contract.




PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as the initial point of contact, assisting employees with all Human Resources related items, including all employee relations issues for employees in multiple states.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, immigration law and be a trusted advisor for managers.
  • Update HR policies on accordance with current labor law.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and always maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources.
  • 5+ years of related work experience in Employee Relations, HR Generalist or HR Management.
  • In depth, working knowledge of federal and multiple state employment laws and practices, especially with ERISA, COBRA, FSLA, DLSE, and wage and hour laws.
  • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in employee relation and labor law.
