Labor and Employment Attorney (Public Sector) – California (Remote/Hybrid)

The Opportunity

• Title: Labor and Employment Attorney (Public Sector Focus)

• Salary: 140,000–220,000 USD + performance and billable bonuses

• Location: California (Remote or Hybrid – high remote flexibility)

• Level: 3–8 years’ labor and employment experience

What You’ll Do

• Advise public sector and select private clients on a wide range of employment and traditional labor issues.

• Handle a high volume of transactional labor and employment work.

• Conduct sophisticated legal research, writing, and analysis.

• Support employment litigation matters where needed.

What We’re Looking For

• 3–8 years of labor and employment transactional experience.

• Active California Bar membership.

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school; minimum 3.0 GPA if under 5 years’ experience.

• Background in public law work (e.g., boutique firms, Am Law, or City Attorney’s offices).

• Exceptional writing, research, and analytical skills, plus a genuine interest in public sector work.
