ENERGY ENGINEER

Job Title: Energy Engineer – Saudi Arabia

Role Summary

EcoSmart Energy Systems is hiring Energy Engineers to support Green Energy and Decarbonization programs through energy audits, carbon accounting, and EMS deployment across Saudi Arabia. The role requires frequent travel for site surveys, assessments, and technical support in HVAC, chillers, pumps, lighting, renewables, and utility systems. Engineers will also contribute to sustainability reporting and project documentation in line with international standards.

Qualifications

• B.E. / M.E. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Energy Engineering
• 1–2 years’ experience in energy audits, facility/equipment operations, or sustainability projects
• Familiarity with carbon markets and ESG reporting standards
• Experience in surveying equipment, collecting field-level data, and benchmarking facilities
• Exposure to renewables (solar PV, hybrid systems) and energy storage is an advantage
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills

Preferred

• Valid Saudi work visa or transferable Iqama
• Familiarity with ASHRAE, SASO, and SEC standards
• Arabic language proficiency
• Experience with audit instruments: power analyzers, flow meters, data loggers, lux meters
• Understanding of Scope 1 (direct emissions), Scope 2 (purchased energy), and Scope 3 (value chain emissions)

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys and technical assessments for energy audits, carbon footprint assessments, and site surveys
• Perform carbon foot printing and emissions mapping for Scope 1, 2, and 3
• Benchmark facility performance, recommend ECMs, and quantify savings
• Prepare technical reports, sustainability documentation, and ECM proposals
• Assist in EMS rollout, baseline modeling, and performance monitoring
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for project execution and client onboarding

Technical & Functional Competencies

• Strong analytical, technical writing, and documentation skills
• Ability to manage workload with minimal supervision and deliver under deadlines
• Proficiency in MS Office / Office 365 tools
• Willingness to travel and stay at project sites

Location: Dammam (Travel across KSA)
