Job Description

The Hilton Garden Inn Louisville East is seeking a dependable and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to oversee the maintenance, repair, and overall functionality of the hotel’s building systems and guest rooms.

This position plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by ensuring our facilities are safe, operational, and well maintained. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in hotel or building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily property inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and mechanical spaces
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Respond to guest maintenance requests promptly and professionally
• Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment and building systems
• Maintain pool and spa operations in accordance with local health regulations
• Assist with life safety systems including fire alarms, sprinklers, and emergency lighting
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs
• Maintain maintenance logs and preventative maintenance schedules
• Ensure compliance with brand standards and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Previous hotel maintenance or building engineering experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repair
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve maintenance issues efficiently
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including climbing ladders
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Availability to work flexible hours including weekends or on-call shifts

Preferred Experience

• Hotel or hospitality maintenance experience
• CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification
• HVAC certification or trade experience

Schedule
