To ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, implement industry best practices, and proactively manage risks associated with gas Manufacturing , processing, test Bench, Maintenance /Shutdown activities. The Safety Engineer will play a key role in ensuring a safe working environment and supporting continuous improvement of the safety management system.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Safety

Conduct safety inspections and audits of gas facilities (pipelines, compressors, plants, Storage Tank etc.)

Identify, assess, and control hazards related to gas leaks, high-pressure systems, flammable materials, and confined spaces

Support implementation of Permit to Work (PTW), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and toolbox talks
-
Monitor hot work, confined space entry, and lifting operations

Lead and participate in incident/near-miss investigations using root cause analysis techniques (e.g., 5-Whys, fishbone diagram)

Recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs)

Maintain records and reporting systems (e.g., IMS, incident logs, audit findings)
Compliance

Ensure compliance with national and international safety laws and standards (e, PESO, OSHA, ISO ,14001, 45001)

Assist in preparation of safety plans, risk assessments, and HAZOP/HAZID /HIRA studies

Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and emergency response protocols
Training & Culture

Conduct safety inductions, refresher training, and drills (fire, gas leak, evacuation)

Promote behavioral safety and safety leadership among operations staff

Contribute to safety campaigns, awareness sessions, and audits
Monitoring & Reporting

Analyse leading and lagging indicators (TRIR, LTIFR, near-miss rate)

Report safety KPIs to management and regulatory authorities

Recommend engineering controls or administrative procedures for risk reduction
