About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with hands-on experience in hydraulic systems, pneumatic equipment, automation machinery, and assembly line maintenance. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth functioning of machines, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement in production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves, hoses, and pneumatic actuators.
• Maintain and service automation systems, conveyors, robotic arms, and assembly machinery.
• Conduct root cause analysis of recurring breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards while carrying out maintenance activities.
• Support installation, commissioning, and modification of new machines or equipment.
• Monitor machine performance and optimize equipment reliability & uptime.
• Maintain documentation of maintenance schedules, reports, and spare parts inventory.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and design teams to resolve technical issues.
• Provide technical training to operators and junior technicians on machine handling.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and automation systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, hydraulic/pneumatic circuit diagrams.
• Experience in assembly line operations and machine maintenance.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills for fault diagnosis.
• Familiarity with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), Kaizen, and Lean practices is preferred.
• Good communication and team collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in machine maintenance.
• Exposure to manufacturing, automation, or assembly line industry is desirable.
