Role Requirements

To program components as per requirements

Duties and Responsibilities

Interpret engineering drawings to customer specifications

Program component machining requirements from customer engineering drawings.

Plan Departmental workload in line with production schedules to ensure operational effectiveness.

Participate in production progress meetings and provide feedback on departmental daily production status.

Inspect manufactured products and complete all relevant process verification documentation.

Monitor & advise personnel on correct use of tooling & equipment.

Operate machine tools to produce components in accordance with engineering specifications.

Participate in problem resolution activities to achieve process & efficiency improvements.

Ensure that housekeeping standards are maintained in accordance with Company requirements.

Competencies

Awareness of Howco HSE Policy, Conscious on related Policies

Working Knowledge of relevant programming language and machine tool capability including tool feeds & speeds required to achieve efficient cycle times.

Knowledge of first and third angle projection. Drawing interpretation to ISO / BS 308 requirements, including geometric tolerances.

Knowledge of modern inspection & validation equipment.

Capability in applied mathematics and geometry.

Organisational skills

Department output maintained to scheduled requirements.

Produce components to meet production target times identified on route cards.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

Awareness of Howco and local country HSE policy

4 years’ experience in CNC programming in manufacturing industry

Minimum 6 years overall experience as team leader preferably in machine shop

Hands on operating experience of CNC machines would be beneficial

Knowledge of HSE Procedures. 5S or Six Sigma is an advantage

Knowledge of relevant programming techniques
