Engineering Department Manager

Purpose

• The Engineering Department Manager's purpose is to enable the Company to meet its strategic objectives through the development of the Engineering organisation in their assigned department
  
  
  

Responsibilities

• You are responsible for developing and maintaining synergies through the management of Discipline Managers to ensure they are working in an integrated manner.
• You oversee resource allocation, training, and quality of work within the department.
• You monitor the interfaces between Disciplines and coordinates with other Department Managers and the Engineering Manager to increase efficiencies.
• You oversee the manpower planning and resource management for Disciplines and determine the need and scope for subcontracting work.
• You are responsible for overseeing the development and improvement of engineering tools and processes.
• You are responsible for talent development across Disciplines. You take ownership of the overall quality and performance of the work performed by the Department.
