Job Title: Engineering & Design Engineer
(Lead / Project Engineering Authority)

Project:

Procure, Supply, Fabrication, Installation & Commissioning of 3 Emergency Loading / Unloading Skids

Location: North Jeddah Bulk Plant (NJBP) – Saudi Aramco

Role Overview:

The Engineering & Design Engineer will act as the Lead Engineering Authority, responsible for overall engineering coordination, technical integrity, and full compliance with Saudi Aramco Standards throughout the project lifecycle—from design through commissioning and handover.

Scope of Responsibilities:

Engineering & Technical Leadership

  • Lead overall engineering coordination and ensure full compliance with SAES, SAMSS, and SAEP standards
  • Review and approve project specifications, IFC drawings, P&IDs, layout drawings, skid GAs, and client technical documents
  • Develop and validate Design Basis for emergency loading/unloading skids handling:
  • PG91, PG95, Diesel, Kerosene, Jet-A

Standards & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to Saudi Aramco standards including:
  • SAES-A – Safety
  • SAES-B – Civil / Structural
  • SAES-H – HSE
  • SAES-L – Instrumentation
  • SAES-P – Piping
  • SAES-E – Electrical

Interface & Coordination

  • Act as the primary engineering interface with:
  • Saudi Aramco engineering teams
  • NJBP operations
  • HSE and inspection departments
  • Address technical queries, deviations, and clarifications efficiently

Key Deliverables:

  • Design Basis Memorandum (DBM)
  • Skid General Arrangement (GA) drawings
  • P&IDs and Process Flow Diagrams (PFD)
  • Hydraulic calculations (flow rates, pressure drop)
  • Engineering calculations and technical clarifications
  • Design risk assessments and HAZID / HAZOP support
  • Engineering Change Notices (ECN)
  • As-built drawings and final documentation

Project Execution & Handover:

  • Participate in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and final handover activities
  • Support final acceptance and close-out documentation
  • Ensure compliance with NJBP operational requirements

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6 to 8 years of experience in Saudi Arabia
  • Proven experience working on Saudi Aramco projects
  • Strong knowledge of Aramco engineering standards and approval processes
  • Experience with fuel handling systems and skid-mounted packages
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams
