Job Title: Fabrication Engineer

Project: Procure, Supply, Fabrication, Installation & Commissioning of Emergency Loading / Unloading Skids

Location: North Jeddah Bulk Plant (NJBP) – Saudi Aramco

Role Overview:

The Fabrication Engineer will be responsible for managing and supervising skid fabrication activities at the workshop, ensuring full compliance with Saudi Aramco standards, approved drawings, quality requirements, and project specifications.

Scope of Responsibility:

• Manage skid fabrication in workshop in compliance with Aramco requirements.
• Ensure fabrication quality as per:
• SAES-W (Welding)
• SAES-M-004
• AWS D1.1 / ASME IX
• Supervise welding, cutting, fit-up, blasting, painting, and assembly.
• Coordinate with QC and inspectors for hold points and inspections.

Deliverables:

• Fabrication drawings
• Welding Procedure Specification (WPS)
• Procedure Qualification Records (PQR)
• Welder Qualification Records (WQTR)
• Fabrication inspection checklists
• Surface preparation & painting reports

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of Saudi Aramco welding and fabrication standards
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Fabrication / Welding Engineering
• Minimum 8–10 years of fabrication experience in oil & gas or industrial projects
• Strong experience in skid-mounted packages and workshop fabrication
• Hands-on knowledge of Aramco inspection and approval processes
• Expertise in welding processes, material control, and fabrication sequencing
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication, piping, and structural drawings
• Excellent coordination with QC, inspection, and project teams
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and quality management skills
• Effective communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage)
• Proven experience working on Saudi Aramco projects
• Strict adherence to approved Aramco standards and NJBP operational requirements
• Participate in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover activities
• Support final acceptance and project close-out documentation
