The Engineering Inspector is a crucial entry-level role within our organization, primarily responsible for ensuring that construction projects adhere to established standards, specifications, and regulations. The incumbent will undertake field inspections to monitor the quality of materials, workmanship, and overall compliance with engineering plans. This position requires a foundational understanding of civil, architectural, or construction engineering principles, alongside a proactive approach to identifying potential issues and recommending corrective measures. The Engineering Inspector will collaborate with project managers, contractors, and design teams to facilitate smooth operations while fostering a culture of safety and compliance.

Job Requirements
  • A diploma or bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, Construction Management, or Architecture.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in engineering inspection, construction oversight, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in relevant local and national building codes, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess technical plans and specifications critically.
  • Competence in using inspection tools and technology, including surveying equipment and software.
  • Effective communication skills to articulate findings and recommendations clearly.
  • A proactive mindset with the capability to identify, troubleshoot, and report issues promptly.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in team environments while also demonstrating independence.
Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct scheduled field visits and inspections to ensure adherence to design specifications and standards.
  • Apply work procedures according to local regulations and organizational policies.
  • Execute incoming reports and inquiries in accordance with the established inspection plan.
  • Document findings accurately in inspection reports and communicate them to relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with safety measures and quality standards throughout the construction process.
  • Assist in maintaining comprehensive records of inspection activities, outcomes, and corrective actions taken.
  • Provide recommendations for improvements based on inspection findings and trends observed in the field.
Required Skills
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, particularly in civil and architectural contexts.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and technical specifications.
