Job Description Summary
The purpose of the Engineering Lead is to work with the Lab Product Owner to provide effectively leadership and management of the teams in their Labs. Specifically, this requires setting the vision, mobilisation of the teams required to deliver it and ensuring effective delivery execution. With the Lab PO they are also responsible for all operational management activities including workforce plans, risk and issue mitigation and cost management. There is a particular focus on the ways of working and overall engineering experience, where the Engineering Lead is responsible for creating the right environment for effective delivery which will include the identification of blockers and action plans to remove them.

    What you’ll need
    Proven experience defining technology vision and architecture working closely with lead architects to drive strategic development
    Proven experience of working across regional boundaries and leading multi-disciplinary global teams.
    Proven experience is leading large scale transformation migrating from legacy to modern cloud based platforms running scalable microservices and distributed compute architecture
    A deep, inquisitive focus on technology, with a track record of identifying opportunities to optimise and enhance systems and processes
    A strong understanding of the experience, with hands on experience in improving team productivity, morale and overall efficiency
    Classification: Limited
    A solid background in resilience and security by design, ensuring teams take full ownership of production issues and prioritise a customer first approach
    A passion for developing talent, fostering a product-based mindset, attracting and retaining top engineering talent to build high-performing teams
    And any experience of these would be really useful
    Experience in GCP products and services
    Experience in designing & building Generative AI applications and the usage of Tools like LangChain and LangGraph
    Experience Integrating AI applications into business processes and driving process simplification.
