About The Role
As
Engineering Manager at Thndr
, you'll lead a product engineering team focused on delivery, team health, and high-quality output. You’ll be responsible for building strong engineers, driving execution, and continuously improving how we work.
What You'll Do
People and Team Development

Run regular 1:1s to support growth and resolve blockers

Lead hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews

Build a culture of direct feedback, ownership, and continuous improvement
-
Coach engineers to level up technically and professionally
-
Set clear expectations and hold the team accountable
Product and Delivery
-
Work closely with Product to define and plan roadmap work
-
Own sprint execution, backlog grooming, and delivery quality
-
Unblock issues, eliminate inefficiencies, and ensure velocity
-
Maintain a high bar for clarity in ticketing and planning
-
Align the team’s output with business and product goals
Process and Technical Oversight
-
Improve team workflows and developer experience
-
Review code and facilitate technical discussions
-
Spot bottlenecks and fix them before they grow
-
Identify systemic issues and flag them early to leadership
-
Ensure what ships is what was intended — clean, tested, and on time
What You'll Need
-
3+ years of engineering experience across stacks
-
2+ years managing engineers in product teams
-
Proven success leading delivery on live customer-facing products
-
Strong instincts around quality, velocity, and team health
-
Experience building or improving systems, tools, and workflows
-
Direct and constructive communication style
