Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and infrastructure systems
  • Execute preventive and periodic maintenance in line with maintenance schedules and maintain proper documentation
  • Conduct root cause analysis for technical failures and implement permanent solutions
  • Monitor energy consumption and propose efficiency improvements
  • Coordinate and supervise external service providers, ensuring compliance with technical specifications
  • Ensure all systems are fully operational through routine inspections and timely interventions
  • Follow up and ensure completion of legally required technical inspections
  • Supervise maintenance and inspection contractors on-site
  • Provide technical support to all hotel departments and ensure uninterrupted operations
  • Monitor renovation works and ensure compliance with technical specifications
  • Supervise contractors during renovation projects and report progress to headquarters
  • Ensure all electrical, mechanical, and architectural works comply with fire safety regulations
  • Manage insurance claim notifications and follow up reimbursement processes
  • Monitor service quality and ensure compliance with contractual agreements
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives aligned with operational needs
  • Ensure the day-to-day operation of the departments office duties and general administration is completed competently and in a given time.
  • Attend and report to Director of Engineering & Assistant Director of Engineering any actions or action plans that may arise from inspections by the local authorities.
  • Engineering Manager this position dictates you becoming a senior member of the Resort's emergency response team
  • Support company's philosophy and company culture through the use of Pillars of Legendary Quality Experiences on a daily basis to ensure Guest Satisfaction and the achievement of our Mission Statement.
  • To ensure that the Engineering Departments and Hotels Policy and Procedures are followed at all times.
  • To ensure that through quality control checklists, constantly training colleagues, monitoring guest and colleague feedback and attention to detail an outstanding service is provided.
  • To meet with the Director of Engineering, Assistant Director of Engineering and Shift Engineers on daily bases to ensure the continuity in the operation of the engineering department is maintained at all times.
  • Through continuously searching for new ideas and product improvements guests and colleagues demands are met.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as Engineering Manager in Luxury Resorts
  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Vocational School graduates are also welcome)
  • Prior experience in facilities such as hotels, shopping malls, residences, or hospitals
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and flexible schedule
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with proven team management experience
  • Basic knowledge of quality management systems and certification processes
  • EKAT certification is preferred
  • Valid Class B driver’s license and active driving skills are preferred
