Engineering & Project Execution
- Head all engineering activities for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Oversee detailed engineering including:
- Process calculations and design basis
- P&IDs, GA drawings, layouts, and fabrication drawings
- Equipment sizing and specifications
- Ensure engineering deliverables align with contract requirements, standards, and client specifications.
- Identify design gaps, inconsistencies, and risks; propose corrective actions.
2. Document & Drawing Control
- Review and approve all engineering documents before submission.
- Ensure timely submission of drawings, calculations, datasheets, and technical documents to clients and consultants.
- Coordinate comments resolution and resubmissions until final approval (AFC / IFC).
- Maintain document registers and submission schedules in coordination with project team.
3. Material & Vendor Engineering
- Review and finalize equipment datasheets, MRQs, and technical specifications.
- Technically evaluate vendor offers and perform bid tabulations.
- Review vendor drawings, calculations, and data for compliance.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure technical clarity during purchasing.
- Liaise with vendors for clarification, deviations, and approval closures.
4. Proposal & Tender Support
- Support the proposal team during bidding stage with:
- Technical inputs and design concepts
- Equipment selection and sizing
- Cost-effective engineering solutions
- Review technical parts of tenders, specifications, and deviations.
- Assist in preparing technical clarifications during tender stage.
5. Fabrication & Site Support
- Ensure engineering deliverables are suitable for fabrication and installation.
- Support fabrication team with clarifications and design modifications when required.
- Resolve engineering queries raised during manufacturing and assembly.
- Assist site or commissioning teams with technical clarifications as needed.
6. Coordination & Leadership
- Lead and mentor engineers, designers, and draftspersons.
- Coordinate with project management, procurement, QA/QC, and fabrication teams.
- Act as the main technical interface with clients, consultants, and third parties.
- Ensure engineering schedules align with overall project timelines.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Chemical / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering.
- 10–15 years of experience in water, wastewater, and/or oil & gas package engineering.
- Minimum 3–5 years in a lead or managerial engineering role within an SME environment.
- Strong experience in package systems (skid-mounted units, packaged plants).
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of:
- Water & wastewater treatment systems
- Oil & gas package engineering
- International codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO, IEC, etc.)
- Ability to review:
- P&IDs, layouts, GA & fabrication drawings
- Equipment datasheets and vendor documents
- Familiar with engineering tools and documentation practices.
- Strong understanding of approval workflows (Client / Consultant / Vendor).
