Key Responsibilities
- Conduct land, topographic, and construction surveys to establish reference points, benchmarks, and boundaries for civil and structural works.
- Set out project coordinates, levels, and alignments based on approved drawings and design data.
- Perform precise measurements using total stations, GPS, auto-levels, and other modern surveying instruments.
- Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at site.
- Prepare and maintain survey reports, field notes, and as-built data in accordance with project requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers, draftsmen, and site supervisors to ensure proper execution of setting-out works.
- Monitor construction progress and ensure works are carried out within the designed levels, coordinates, and tolerances.
- Update and revise survey data to reflect site modifications, design changes, or consultant instructions.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and adhere to company quality procedures during survey operations.
- Assist in preparing as-built drawings, layout plans, and survey documentation for project handover.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or Surveying Technology.
- 3–6 years of relevant experience as a Land Surveyor in the construction industry (GCC experience preferred).
- Proficient in using Total Station, GPS, AutoCAD, and survey data processing software.
- Strong knowledge of surveying principles, leveling techniques, and construction layouts.
- Good understanding of Civil, Structural, and Infrastructure project requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in measurement and documentation.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple site tasks under pressure.
- Valid GCC driving license will be an advantage.
