Construction Cost Estimator

Manama, Bahrain

Key Responsibilities

  • Estimate material quantities, labor requirements, project costs, and timeframes with precision to support tendering and project execution.
  • Prepare and review tender documents, contract agreements, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) in accordance with project scope and industry standards.
  • Conduct detailed cost analysis and feasibility studies to ensure competitive and accurate bids.
  • Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations, ensuring compliance with budgetary and technical requirements.
  • Develop cost plans, budgets, and cash flow forecasts, and monitor expenditures throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare variations, claims, and interim payment applications in coordination with project teams.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and planning teams to align estimation with project execution strategies.
  • Ensure all tendering and contract activities are in line with FIDIC standards, company policies, and local regulations.
  • Maintain organized documentation including cost records, quotations, contracts, and project correspondences.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in estimation, tendering, or cost management (GCC experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of both Civil and MEP works.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, CostX, Planswift, Bluebeam, and MS Excel.
  • Familiarity with standard forms of contract (e.g., FIDIC).
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Valid GCC driving license preferred.
