Summary:
We are seeking a mid-level Engineering Technician with a strong engineering background and solid drafting experience to support our surveying and field teams. This role focuses heavily on producing accurate as-built drawings, checking inverts and elevations, and converting field data into clean, compliant documentation for underground utility and site-work projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft and update as-built drawings using AutoCAD/Civil 3D based on survey data, field redlines, and project markups.
• Review and verify inverts, pipe elevations, slopes, and utility tie-ins prior to finalizing drawings.
• Process and interpret field survey notes, point files, and digital data to ensure accuracy.
• Coordinate with surveyors and field crews to clarify missing information, discrepancies, or design conflicts.
• Maintain drawing standards, version control, and organized documentation for all projects.
• Assist project managers with technical support, plan interpretation, and drawing revisions as needed.
• Ensure as-built packages meet municipal or client-specific requirements before submission.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in civil drafting, engineering technology, or surveying support.
• Background in Civil Engineering, Surveying, Construction Engineering, or related field.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; Civil 3D experience preferred.
• Solid understanding of underground utilities (water, sewer, storm, duct banks) and site-work plans.
• Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, profiles, and utility sheets.
• Strong attention to detail, especially with elevations and invert checks.
• Ability to communicate clearly with field surveyors, engineers, and project managers.
• Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple drafting tasks at once.
