English Teacher

English Teacher - Grade 6 to Grade 10

We are seeking a qualified and experienced English Teacher to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English language and literature to students from Grade 6 through Grade 10, with a strong focus on O Level curriculum preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive English lessons covering language skills, literature, composition, and grammar for Grades 6-10
• Prepare students for O Level English examinations through targeted curriculum instruction and exam techniques
• Teach English literature analysis, critical thinking, and creative writing skills
• Develop lesson plans that align with O Level syllabus requirements and learning objectives
• Assess student progress through regular testing, assignments, and mock examinations
• Provide individualized support to students struggling with language concepts or literature comprehension
• Foster reading habits and appreciation for English literature among students
• Integrate speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in daily instruction
• Maintain detailed records of student performance and provide regular feedback to parents
• Collaborate with other teachers and participate in curriculum development activities

Essential Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in English, English Literature, or English Language Teaching
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in English for middle and secondary school levels
• Thorough knowledge of O Level English curriculum and examination requirements
• Strong command of English language with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in preparing students for standardized examinations
• Classroom management and student engagement skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in English or Education
• Previous experience with Cambridge O Level or similar international curricula
• Training in modern teaching methodologies and assessment techniques
• Familiarity with educational technology and digital learning platforms
• Experience in teaching diverse student populations

Grade Levels: 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10
