English Teacher

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced English Teacher to teach students in Grades IV to VI at our CBSE-affiliated school in Pune. The ideal candidate should have a strong command of the English language, a love for teaching, and the ability to foster a positive and engaging learning environment. You will be responsible for developing students' reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills while encouraging creativity, comprehension, and critical thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons in line with the CBSE curriculum for Grades 4 to 6.
• Teach grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, creative writing, and spoken English.
• Design age-appropriate assessments to evaluate students' progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Encourage reading habits through storytelling, reading sessions, and literary activities.
• Develop lesson plans and learning materials that cater to different learning styles and abilities.
• Maintain accurate student records and prepare periodic progress reports.
• Foster a classroom environment that is inclusive, respectful, and conducive to learning.
• Organize and support language-related extracurricular activities such as debates, elocutions, drama, and literary clubs.
• Integrate digital tools and resources to enhance language learning.
• Collaborate with other subject teachers and participate in school events, PTMs, and training sessions.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in English / Literature / Education (B.Ed. is mandatory as per CBSE norms).
• Minimum 2–4 years of teaching experience in a CBSE or equivalent school.
• Strong command over spoken and written English.
• Effective classroom management and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to connect with students aged 9–12 and make learning enjoyable and effective.

Preferred Skills:

• Exposure to child-centered, activity-based, or experiential teaching methods.
• Creative writing, storytelling, or theatre experience will be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with NEP 2020-aligned pedagogical approaches.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
