English Teacher

Job Purpose

To deliver effective English language instruction, enhance students’ communication and literacy skills, and support their academic and personal development in line with the school’s curriculum and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach English language and literature as per the prescribed curriculum and grade level.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver well-structured and engaging lesson plans.
• Develop students’ reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills through interactive teaching methods.
• Prepare worksheets, assignments, assessments, and examination papers.
• Evaluate students’ performance and maintain accurate academic records and progress reports.
• Identify learning gaps and provide remedial support where required.
• Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication skills.
• Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Communicate with parents regarding students’ academic progress and behavior when required.
• Participate in academic meetings, trainings, school events, and professional development activities.
• Follow school policies, academic guidelines, and instructions issued by management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English / Education or a relevant field
• B.Ed / M.Ed preferred
• Relevant teaching certification (if applicable)
• Prior teaching experience in a school environment (preferred)
