Job Purpose:
To teach English to primary-level students in accordance with the prescribed curriculum, fostering language proficiency, reading comprehension, writing skills, and effective communication while creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver well-structured English lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and learning objectives.
- Develop students’ reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills through creative and interactive teaching strategies.
- Use age-appropriate teaching aids, audio-visual resources, and activities to enhance language learning.
- Assess students’ progress through classwork, assignments, and periodic evaluations.
- Maintain accurate student records, grades, and attendance.
- Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages participation and curiosity.
- Provide regular feedback to students and parents regarding academic performance and behavior.
- Participate in curriculum development, teacher meetings, and training sessions.
- Organize and support co-curricular and literacy-based activities such as reading clubs, debates, and storytelling sessions.
- Ensure discipline and adherence to school policies and ethical teaching practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in English / Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching certification required.
- 1–3 years of teaching experience at the primary level preferred.
- Strong command of spoken and written English.
