Job Overview

ENT nurses assess and treat patients suffering from illnesses or injuries in their ears, noses, and throats. Assessing patients generally involves performing a thorough physical examination. ENT nurses need to be familiar with medical imaging machines, such as X-ray machines.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Assessing, implementing, planning, and evaluating patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members
• Assisting physicians in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with injuries and disorders of the ear, nose, throat, cranial nerves, skin, and neck
• Maintaining accurate records of patients' medical histories and symptoms
• Using tools such as otoscopes, tongue depressors, and others to examine patients
• Monitoring vital signs and administering medication
• Collecting samples from affected areas
• Assisting physicians with surgical procedures
• Maintaining clean treatment rooms, and assisting with maintaining clean dressing rooms
• Complying with the Health and Safety legislation and regulations in Qatar
• Preparing patients for surgery
• Administering medications and educating patients on how to care for their conditions at home
• Ensuring that the appropriate infection control and decontamination processes are applied
• Performing post-operative care for patients

Competency (knowledge, skills, & abilities)
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Nurse

- QCHP Nursing license

- Strong interpersonal skills

- Excellent communication skills

- Keen eye for detail
