Enterprise Content Management Specialist (ECM)

Our client, Qatar’s leading integrated transport solutions provider — is seeking an experienced and proactive Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Specialist to play a key role in transforming the organization’s information governance and digital collaboration ecosystem.

Role Overview

The ECM Specialist will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise content management strategies across the organization. This role will ensure that all business-critical content is structured, secure, accessible, and aligned with organizational goals — supporting cross-departmental collaboration and compliance with international standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement ECM strategies, including metadata management, content classification, and workflow automation.
  • Configure and administer ECM platforms such as SharePoint, OpenText, Alfresco, or equivalent to ensure seamless integration with ERP, CRM, and other enterprise systems.
  • Manage the full content lifecycle — from creation and approval to retention and disposal — in line with compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, SOX).
  • Conduct content audits to identify risks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with IT Security to ensure data protection, access control, and compliance.
  • Provide training and support to users on ECM tools, best practices, and collaboration techniques.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and oversee upgrades or migrations.
  • Generate insights and analytics reports to support business decision-making.
  • Stay up to date with evolving ECM technologies and recommend enhancements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Library Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Enterprise Content Management, Document Management, or Information Governance.
  • Hands-on expertise in SharePoint, Adobe Experience Manager, IBM FileNet, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of taxonomy development, records management, and digital asset management.
  • Experience with integration tools and APIs for connecting ECM systems.
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks relevant to digital content and data management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills; able to interact with C-level stakeholders confidently.
  • Bilingual candidates (Arabic/English) are highly preferred.
