Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level Communications Assistant to join our dynamic team. The Communications Assistant will support various communication initiatives, assist in media relations, and contribute to the development of engaging content across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the creation and distribution of press releases and other communication materials.
• Conduct research to gather information for projects and campaigns.
• Proofread and edit content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to AP style guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members on marketing and public relations strategies.
• Participate in public speaking engagements and represent the organization at events as needed.
• Contribute to brainstorming sessions for new marketing initiatives and communication strategies.

Requirements

• Strong writing skills with a keen eye for detail and editing capabilities.
• Familiarity with AP style is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience or coursework in journalism, public relations, marketing, or a related field is a plus.
• Ability to conduct thorough research and synthesize information effectively.
• A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
