Compliance Analyst

Remote Work Flexibility

This position offers hybrid remote work flexibility within Maine (minimum 2 in-office days per week).

The Position

This role is designed for someone eager to build a foundation in compliance and fund governance while working alongside experienced professionals. As a Compliance Analyst at Stone Coast Fund Services, you’ll support a wide range of compliance, governance, and risk management functions for our fund clients and our company. You’ll assist with client onboarding and due diligence, review offering documents for accuracy, and help ensure adherence to AML, fraud prevention, and other regulatory requirements. The role includes supporting corporate governance, responding to regulatory inquiries, and managing compliance documentation. You’ll also help deliver corporate secretarial services for offshore fund clients, contribute to drafting compliance procedures, and work on cross-functional projects that enhance our compliance and operational processes.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• An interest in investment manager and fund regulatory, governance, and compliance obligations.
• Some background or familiarity with legal, compliance, or risk management, with or without exposure to finance or financial institutions.
• Interest in reviewing and analyzing legal formation documents such as documents provided for AML identify verification (such as foundation charters, trust documents, LLC agreements), tax documents, and regulatory guidance, including both US documents and non-US documents.
• Comfortable and highly proficient in verbal and written communications, preferably proficient in communicating complex matters.
• The consummate team player – listens well and values the input of his or her colleagues.
• Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (including Word and Excel) and Adobe 9 Pro or Adobe 10 Pro, including proficiency with combining, extracting, and deleting files.
• Highly organized and exceptionally detailed.
• Accustomed to managing multiple priorities.

Education Requirements

• Four-year college degree, preferably in business, legal studies, or paralegal studies.
