Entry Level Electronic Component Buyer

Job Overview
We are seeking an Entry Level Electronic Component Buyer to join our procurement team. Familiarity with ERP systems and materials management processes is preferred, and this role provides valuable exposure to supply chain operations and vendor negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in purchasing electronic components, hardware, and materials per BOM requirements
• Basic understanding of Excel and Outlook required.
• Create and process purchase orders with approved suppliers
• Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and order status
• Track open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery
• Work closely with production and sales teams to support build schedules
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
• Assist with supplier research and cost comparisons
• Support inventory management and shortage resolution

Skills

• Familiarity with ERP systems is highly desirable
• Knowledge of materials management, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), and inventory management principles
• Understanding of procurement processes including sourcing, purchasing, negotiation, and contracts management
• Experience or familiarity with supply chain management, logistics, and inventory control practices
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry and record keeping
• Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams including production planning and merchandising
• Basic knowledge of e-commerce platforms used for component sourcing is a plus
• Excellent communication skills for negotiations and supplier interactions
• Eagerness to learn about production planning, pricing strategies, and supply chain optimization
