Entry-Level IT Technician

About Us
San Diego Sports Medicine & Family Health Center is a growing, multi-site primary care and physical therapy practice supporting clinical and administrative teams across several locations. We are seeking an entry-level IT Technician who is service-oriented, hands-on, and eager to grow within a healthcare technology environment.

Position Summary
The IT Technician provides onsite and remote technical support to clinical and administrative staff. This role supports workstations, printers, hardware, and basic network-connected devices, while assisting with clinical technology workflows, including Epic-related onboarding processes. This is a customer-facing role ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems and helping non-technical users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot workstations, laptops, login issues, email problems, pop-ups, and common desktop concerns, escalating complex issues as appropriate
  • Assist with Epic endpoint setup activities and support onboarding workflows tied to Epic account setup
  • Troubleshoot and maintain printers, copiers, and other peripherals across sites
  • Maintain documentation of device names, IP mappings, and site-specific IT notes
  • Support coordination with external IT vendors, including participation in working sessions and telecom administration tasks
  • Travel between practice locations to assist with deployments and onsite support
  • Maintain accurate documentation, follow safe work practices, and uphold confidentiality standards

Physical Requirements
This role includes hands-on setup and support activities. The candidate must be able to lift or move equipment up to approximately 40 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and move between work areas and clinical sites as needed.

Travel Requirement
A valid driver’s license is required. The candidate must be comfortable driving locally between practice locations during the workday.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong customer service mindset and clear communication skills
  • Proficiency with Windows PCs and common troubleshooting, including logins, applications, and printers
  • Ability to work onsite and perform the physical aspects of the role

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to healthcare IT environments
  • Familiarity with hardware support and remote application workflows
  • Interest in learning clinical systems support processes, including Epic-related coordination
  • At least one year of experience using Microsoft 365 Admin portals

Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts. Full-time, onsite position.

Compensation
$21–24 per hour.
